Episode 4

Mono closes in on "The Old Curiosity Shop" but all is not as it appears...and is he prepared for his most formidable foe yet?

Storyline

The ape-human hybrid secret agent and Queen's assassin, possessed of a deadly prehensile tail and 'the strength of twelve men', made his debut in the pulps of the 1930s and enjoyed a brief revival in the late 1960s and 70s.

But can it be that the fiction is closer to historic fact than was ever previously guessed?

Now a series of tales, told in hand-written journals and reported first-hand by those that knew him, reveal Mono as a dual-natured and conflicted adventurer--savage and noble; civilized, but ultimately untamable.

I have been going through these and I'm loosing words to describe them. Not only is the action smooth and flawless, but also developing the characters struggle between his duty and trying to spare the reader the morbid nature thereof, just genius. Great job!

Hello again.

This is a big change to your book. It means that Mono isn't the destructive unstoppable death bringer that he is, well not when facing someone that has never been beat. Hopefully this means he will finally find some competition which will force them both to improve their tactics and strengths.

I have no match for my hero in my book, I've already written the first 60 000 words which qualifies it as a book and only to wards the end of this do I introduce an elusive match for my hero, who twats every attack and nullifies any progress.

It's difficult to match these two people, just a like to my book... the bad guy could never beat the good guy face to face, dagger and first, but the bad guy can plan a trap and the good guy can fall into it.

For this reason, I am eager and waiting for the next chapter=)

Thanks for the great read

disappointing,

the lead to this chapter...

I, I can't think of a better word other then disappointing.

I guess it's because my expectation were too high.

considering you researched a bit of history, I thought you would create good material, and up till now. Yes that has been the case.

Well, you always have next issue to recover.

Good bye

I enjoyed the heck out of this episode. Well done! Very cool intro to a new character and a suspenseful buildup to the main character's entrance. The sound and light effects helped create a terrific mood and the story flowed really smoothly. Top notch Motion Book reading experience.

As for the trivia, the poem is from the Nibelungenlied, (more specifically, from Richard Wagner's operatic adaptation) correct?
